A message from the Chapter President,

I’m extremely excited and honored to be the CPCU Heart of Texas Chapter President for the 2018 year!

I feel very privileged to hold this position and look forward to serving our Chapter and its members well as we strive to fulfill our mission to provide leadership and professional development opportunities.  We have a great group of leaders, and we look forward to presenting you some amazing opportunities for involvement this year.

My vision for 2018:  To energetically present chapter meetings and events to draw attention to our Chapter and improve membership diversity and growth.

This year we are striving to have each and every chapter member involved in some capacity.  No matter how much time you have or what your talents are --- you are needed.  Even if it is just to call a fellow chapter member to say “We missed you at the meeting!”  Whether your schedule offers just a small window of time to volunteer or you have time for a more long-term commitment, we have plenty of opportunities available and more to come as the year progresses.  Let us know how you want to be involved!

We also want to hear from our members!  Communication is key in a successful chapter, and we want your feedback.  Your suggestions and feedback help us to improve our membership and focus on organizing events that are most meaningful to our Chapter.  Please take a moment and let us know your thoughts, questions and suggestions.  I can’t wait to hear from you!   Lterry1@txfb-ins.com

Upcoming Events

I am very excited that we started the 2018 calendar off with a great meeting in February at Saltgrass Steakhouse.  We have an ambitious calendar planned going forward including an Ethics Continuing Education class in March and lunch meetings in April and May.  Much more is still in the planning phase, so keep an eye on the calendar at our Chapter website at https://heartoftexas.cpcusociety.org/ for all the upcoming events.

Thank you for being a member of the CPCU Heart of Texas Chapter.  I look forward to seeing you soon and at all our upcoming events!
